Pete Resnick

Soon to be the page for my consulting firm, Episteme Technology Consulting LLC. Under construction. In the meanwhile, you may want to have a gander at my LinkedIn page.

This is my personal home page. You can reach me by email at . I know that putting a link for my email address on my web site only invites spam, but that's what spam filters are for.

(The name "Episteme" is from the philosophical term "episteme" and the Ancient Greek word "ἐπιστήμη" meaning "science" or "knowledge", because I used to study epistemology at the University of Illinois. It started out as Episteme Software, a little company I had when I was working on Network Time. Now it's the name of my consulting LLC. I've also come to discover that there is a genus of moth named "Episteme". And it also turns out that "episteme" is a nice, albeit completely accidental, anagram for "Pete is me".)

I live in Urbana, Illinois (a lovely little town which ocasionally has nice weather). Most of the time, I do some consulting on Internet technology, standards, and open source, including doing some expert witness work on Internet e-mail cases. As part of my consulting, I also work with the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). If you want to find out more about the work that I do, have a look at my work home page.

In my (vanishingly little) spare time, I:
