Pete Resnick's Home Page

This is my old work home page. The new website is under construction.

For more information about me and the rest of my life, see my personal web site.

I used to work for Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. (a subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated), a company in San Diego, California. I was one of the programmers for Qualcomm's Eudora e-mail program for the Macintosh, I spent several years working for the Office of the Chief Scientist, participating in assorted research projects and teaching to engineers on using open source in Qualcomm products, and finally for the Standards & Industry Organizations group at Qualcomm, leading up our work with the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), as well as working on issues in open source, and particularly how work in open source relates to work on standards.

Now I've set out on my own to do some Internet technology consulting, some policy work on the interaction between open source and standards, some expert witness work on e-mail cases, and continuing my work with the IETF.

I've been working with the IETF since 1991 or so. Below are some things I've worked on during that time.
